13 1/2" 10 3/8" photo album of 40 leaves/51 pages, 121 Photographs, 51 photo postcards, and 41 printed post cards. Photos vary in size from 2 3/8" x 1 3/4" to 2 3/4" x 4 1/2". Three photographs are delightedly hand-tinted.

It appears that this group of friends took a trip in 1941 along the western region of North America, across California, Oregon, Arizona, and B.C., Canada. Locations (and some people) are often identified by handwritten script under photos.

There are many photos of their trip to Death Valley California, including of Scotty's Castle, Bad Water, and other architectural and landscape features. While in that region of California, they also visited Los Angeles, the Huntington Library and Gardens, the Whittier Library, Pasadena, Signal Hill in Long Beach, and 100 Palms (which has now inflation to Thousand Palms, CA). In Northern California, they visited Monterey, Palo Alto, San Francisco, etc.

Norther still, they managed a visit Salem, Oregon; Olympia, and Seattle, Washington. They were sure to take pictures of the Capitol buildings. The same is true for Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Other infrastructure pictured, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Coolidge Dam in Arizona, and photographs documenting the interior and exterior of the Boulder Dam.

Several photos are charmed with massive plants and extensive gardens, while others are muse by the sea. Also pictured is a trip to the Grand Canyon.

Colorful postcards decorate many pages, and were collected in Seattle, Boulder, Victoria, Palm Springs, San Fran, and along the Oregon coast.

Photographs are held to the page by use of corner tabs. Postcards are mostly glued down. One photograph is loose in a yellow envelope, tucked into the back of the album.

A few items are missing from the page, though it is still in quite good condition.
