Sobre este artículo

This booklet, which measures approximately 4.5 inches wide by 7.25 inches tall by 0.25 inches thick, was published in Philadelphia in 1833 by William Pilkington, Printer. It contains 100 pages that present, in complete detail, the Decision of the Court of Chancery of the State of New Jersey in a Case between Thomas L. Shotwell, Complainant, and Joseph Hendrickson and Stacy Decow, Defendants and The Opinion of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, in a cause in which James Field was Plaintiff, and Charles Field Defendant. The New Jersey court case appears on pages 3 to 89 and the New York court case follows on pages 90 to 100. Both cases dealt with financial disputes between parties relating to the repayment of debts.

The booklet is string bound with a plain brown paper cover. The cover has some dirt stains, dog ears at the outer corners and a handwritten note on the front cover that reads N70 Decision. The pages of the book are very lightly tanned with occasional foxing. The text is clear and easily read. The overall condition of the booklet is good/very good.

The illustrations accompanying this description show the Title page, the first page of the New Jersey decision, a typical 2-page spread from the New Jersey decision, a 2-page spread on the background of the New York Opinion, and a 2-page spread from the New York Opinion.

Sobre Pages For Sages

Pages For Sages has been in the business of buying and selling rare and used books, ephemera, and other unusual items for over forty years. We have long depended on book fairs, printed catalogs, auctions, and the like to support the business. Now, in our later years (ages 90 and 92) we are taking this step to display a catalog of inventory on the Biblio web site for your consideration. The number of our listings will grow as we continue the process of adding items from our inventory - please come back from time to time to find additional offerings.
