Folio, pictorial paper-covered boards illustrated by Matisse, with matching dust wrapper (price-clipped and just a bit roughed at the edges, but intact with several small chips at foot of rear panel; discoloration on inside from old cellotape, now removed). New York: Simon and Schuster/Verve, (1952). First edition. A near fine fresh copy in a very good dust wrapper.<br/><br/> An important and notoriously delicate book, this is a remarkably fresh and clean copy, with none of the usual toning on binding.
