Sobre este artículo

New York: Longmans, Green and Company,, 1955. First edition, first printing, of the author's iconoclastic study of the liberal tradition in the United States. In Decline, Ekirch (1915-2000) contends that the American conception of freedom, far from developing alongside the young country, was in fact undermined from the start by the nationalism of the American Revolution. Octavo. Original blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt. With dust jacket. Light bumping and rubbing to extremities, faint damp stains to head of various leaves; moderate sunning, slight creasing, and nicks to jacket spine and edges, damp staining and several spots to rear panel, unclipped, with overprice sticker on front flap: a very good copy in good jacket.
