New York: The Viking Press, 1936. First edition, signed limited issue of the collected poems of Dorothy Parker. Octavo, original publisher's half cloth over patterned red paper boards, decorated by Valenti Angelo. One of 485 numbered copies signed by the author, this is number 167. In near fine condition. Not So Deep as a Well contains all of Dorothy Parker's poems, with the exception of a few which she did not wish to retain among them. Published on December 1st 1936, the collection includes The Small Hours, The Dark Girl's Rhyme, Somebody's Song, The Satin Dress, The New Love, For a Sad Lady, Testament, Words of Comfort to Be Scratched on a Mirro, Pictures in the Smoke, and The Choice, among many others.
