Title page supplied in handwritten facsimile along with ownership inscription and old bookseller's notes. Marginal notes in old ink and pencil. Printed in black letter and Roman throughout. Scattered soiling and dampstaining. Bound in later full brown calf with gilt and blindstamped borders and gilt decoration to center of both boards. Spine with eight gilt ruled bands. Hinges repaired with Japanese tissue and green silk ties restored. Wear to spine, surface and corners. ESTCS122214. A very good copy of this defense of the Anglican liturgy against "low church" criticisms in the form of a series of dialogues. A scarce work.
