The First UK printing published by Jonathan Cape, London in 1933. The BOOK is in near Fine condition. Original publisher's yellow cloth with titling and decorations in red. Some light dustiness to the board edges and the upper text-block. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good++ or better condition. Mild edge-wear with a slither of loss at the upper spine. Light toning to the spine and edges.Some mild age related markings, a few nicks and a a few short closed tears. The wrapper artwork by 'RAM' is striking in the removable Brodart archival cover. A collection of short stories and poems spanning 7th century Lesbos, 3rd century Greece, the Romans, Vikings sailing up the Thames et al. An extremely scarce title more-so with the striking wrapper.
