In 1905, a dedicated group of 100+ Fabian Socialists banded together to issue an ideological death warrant. Their target was capitalism. In 1962, a member of the group proudly proclaimed that they had largely achieved their goal through American education. The Democrats' Dilemma examines the numerous groups which boasted, in 1962, thathe American free enterprise system had been "condemned, sentenced, and executed. Presented is a first edition Review copy of Crane's book with publisher's card laid in. Accompanying this book is an individual issue of Ayn Rand's The Objectivist Newsletter, Oct 1965, which reviews this title and contains the first appearance in print of Ayn Rand's seminal article, "The Obliteration of Capitalism." Book Very Good + with some foxing but no writing or markings of any kind. Near-fine unclipped jacket.
