Greenwich, London: National Maritime Museum, 1975. Soft cover. Good to Very Good-. A four-volume set, listing 1505 ships made by William Denny & Brothers of Dumbarton, one of the "most interesting and important of British shipbuilding firms." This work is intended as an extended catalogue and guide to the material in the National Maritime Museum's Denny Collection. Four soft cover catalogues, each a different colour, black titling, black and white illustrations throughout, 1006 pages plus 100 pages of appendices, index, etc. Covers have shelf wear, light edge wear, spines are lightly sunned, text block edges slightly darkened, occasional pale marks or smudges on covers, Part I has a 3" closed tear to front cover at lower spine end, a small pale stain on lower front cover, pages 49 to 70 are detached and there are instances of underlining and marginalia to some of these detached pages, Parts I & II have occasions of cracked spine with associated lenghtwise creases to spine covers. Generally books are clean and tight. Shipping charges are calculated for a standard parcel under 1 kg. Additional charges will apply for heavier shipments, but not until the customer agrees.
