Both first edition volumes with volume I published in 1985 and volume II published in 1993, volume I is inscribed on the front endpaper "to so and so, regards from the co-author R. L. Wilson" and volume II is inscribed on the front endpaper "With Best Wishes Danny Eberhart", Both hardcover volumes are near fine with touch of bumping at cover edges and hint of waviness to pages, in near fine dust jackets with volume I showing touch of soil with hint of exposure toning and crease along spine and volume II showing a few rub spots. Set combines for 551 pages nicely illustrated with black & whites and indexes in both volumes. Still an attractive set of this look at the Deringer in America with the first volume covering the percussion period and the second volume the cartridge period.
