Illustrated with 12 engravings on copper and wood by Demetrios Galanis. 428pp. Original wraps bound in contemporary half calf over marbled boards, top edge gilt. Light rubbing to extremities, else a nice example. Claude Prosper Jolyot de Crebillon, called "Crebillon Fils" to distinguish himself from his father was a French novelist. Demetrios Galanis was an early twentieth century Greek artist, contemporary and friend of Picasso.
