Sobre este artículo

London: Harvill Secker, 2007. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Fine. No. 75 of 100, octavo size, 239 pp., signed by J. M. Coetzee. J. M. Coetzee (b. 1940) is a South African novelist, essayist, linguist, translator, and recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature as well as the Jerusalem Prize, CNA Prize (thrice), the Prix Femina Étranger, and the Booker Prize (twice), among many other accolades. In this novel, each page consists of a short essay above two diary entries from two separate characters, focusing on a variety of topics including politics, terrorism, children, and the weather; the book illuminates the two characters and their unlikely relationship as the understanding and ideas shared between them grow.

This volume is beautifully bound in blue leather and housed in a red cloth slipcase, and is signed by J. M. Coetzee.

___DESCRIPTION: Full blue leather with gilt lettering and ruled borders on the front cover and spine, marbled blue, red, and yellow endpapers, red silk ribbon marker; octavo size (9.5" by 6.25"), pagination: [i-viii] [1-2] 3-231, one of 100 copies, this number 75, signed by J. M. Coetzee. In a red cloth slipcase with gilt lines (matching the cover of the book) wrapping around the box.

___CONDITION:  A fine copy; the covers clean, the corners straight and unrubbed, the binding tight with solid hinges, the interior clean and bright, and free of prior owner markings; still with the "tight" unread feel, clean, crisp, as new. The slipcase is also fine, strong and sturdy, clean overall with the hint of a stray mark or two, and without wear.

___POSTAGE: International customers, please note that additional postage may apply as the standard does not always cover costs; please inquire for details.
