Sobre este artículo

London: Elm Tree Books. Near Fine with no dust jacket. 1984. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. 0241113644 . Half Bound in Navy 'leatherette' with attractive marbled paper boards, in simulation of an 'antique' book. There is pictorial paper title label pasted onto the front board (a little darkened - possibly deliberately in simulation of an 'Antique' book) ). Bright gilt titling/luxurious decoration to the spine. No dustjacket, presumably as issued. There are NO Inscriptions or Marks. A little light 'smudging to the glossy endpapers. 150 pp. Charmingly illustrated in colour by Paul Hogarth and Philip Hood (after the Punch cartoonist 'Spy'). Overall, this is an Excellent, Clean, Tight and Bright Near 'As New' copy. "This is at one and the same time the funniest book in the English language and the most realistic portrayal of life, both as it was and is...." . A Lovely new version of this great classic and a beautifully illustrated copy of 'The Diary of a Nobody'. This English comic novel written by George Grossmith and his brother Weedon Grossmith with illustrations by Weedon first appeared in the magazine Punch in 1888/89, and was first printed in book form in 1892. It is considered a classic work of humour and has never been out of print. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall .
