Light chipping to head and tail of spine, corners rubbed, lettering and decoration bright and prominent, contents are age-toned, inscription and date (1884) on front free endpaper,slight internal separation at title page, but binding is holding. Presumed first edition because copyright date of 1883 is only date. Diagrams throughout illustrating card games.
