Foxing to title page, frontis, and first few pages of both volumes.. 3/4 brown leather with brown cloth; gilt lettering and decoration. Decorative end papers. Vol. I: 1118 pp.; Vol. II: 998 pp., both with bw frontis and occasional bw illustrations and plates. Heavy at 12 pounds (5.4 kilos) and will require extra postage.-+. Volume I published 1856; Volume II published 1857. Illustrated with nearly sixteen hundred engravings on wood.
