London: T Beckett, 1775. Hardcover. Poor. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Tan and brown calf half boards. with gilt lines,evidence of a later repair to spine. Raised bands to spine. Spine label is missing and leather is bubbling. Boards are scuffed and worn. Edges are bumped. Marbled endpapers. Tape repair at front and rear endpapers. Internally the middle hinge is completely split revealing the original spine and the loose spine label which is very damaged. Pages are age-tanned but clean. Frontispiece shows John Walker, teacher of Elocution, and the Preface is dedicated by Walker to David Garrick. 1775
