After Angela Carter's death from cancer at the age of 51, she left behind an extensive working library. Her estate commissioned Sebastian Carter of Rampant Lions Press to design a small bookplate that reads 'From the Library of Angela Carter', which was inserted into the front endpaper of each book.
First Edition. 22 x 13.5 x 3. 338 pages. Ex libris Angela Carter with bookplate to verso of front free endpapers. Male Edition and Female Edition. "The FEMALE edition is almost identical. But not quite. Be warned that ONE PARAGRAPH is crucially different. The choice is yours." Burgundy cover with red and gilt lettering to spine, foredges tinted orange. Decorated endpapers. Book and dust jacket in fine condition.
