Sobre este artículo
London: Bailliere, Tindall & Cox, 1885. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 12mo. No date but 1885; pp. 90. Publisher's green cloth boards blocked in black and gilt; very good and bright with a little gentle wear only. Contents clean and tight, original end papers, the front with a few neat pencil notes and the bookplate of Norman Douglas Simpson [see bellow]. A very good bright copy of a scarce book. [Provenance: from the library of Prof. William Stearn, though without his plate "doyen of British botanists" who wrote c. 500 papers and books, including the classic "Botanical Latin". He was an authority on Linnaeus and an expert on botanical illustration. Stearn was a friend of the botanist and bibliophile Norman Douglas Simpson, who spent much of his retirement collecting botanical books, some of which were subsequently presented to Stearn by Simpson's Executors, as in this case.].
