Brussels, 1888. Fair. Quarter Leather. Third Edition. 4to (up to 12" tall). Black banded leather spine with gilt titles and bands, boards are deep purple pebbled cloth. Heavy wear to tips with repaired tears to spine head and one further down. Front hinge cracked with bottom third detached completely. Olive green endpapers with ex libris slip on front pastedown, ink stamps to front fly, which has a 1" tear to foredge. Text is toned with age with some foxing, but square and reasonably tight. Still a very solid reading copy..
