Buch ist in einem sehr guten Zustand, farbig illustrierter Original-Ganz-Leinen-Einband, Kolonialkrieg-Darstellung, Einband berieben/gebrauchsspurig, Widmung auf Vorsatz zur Kriegsweihnacht 1914, Ecken berieben, Kapitale sichtbar berieben, Rotschnitt, Papier in altersgemäßem sehr gutem Zustand. Der bekannte Dürener Afrikaforscher und Tierfotograf schrieb das Vorwort. Wilhelm Langheld war afrikaerfahren durch seine Tätigkeit als Offizier der Schutztruppe für Deutsch-Ostafrika bei diversen Expeditionen. Dies ist die Erstausgabe, die zweite neubearbeitete Auflage erschien 1938 bei Hans von Chamier-Glisczinski ""Leben und Sterben um Afrika"".
