Printed green cloth boards restored by KTB of Old Working Books & Bindery with black cloth rear pastedown, head and tail gussets and fore-edge flap, thick coated paper. 4to (32 cm. pp. 12, [2] Part I & 2 half sheets, [84] plates. About Very Good/none/in like binding. Some edge chipping and dust lines to plates, unmarked copy, foxing starting to introduction. Printed text and plates in separate plastic bags. The most comprehensive study of combs and hair embellishments to date. Winter originally had two final copies in addition to his original drawings and correspondence for the work. His corrections in English were never republished. Parallel introductory text in German, English and French. [We rebind and restore books and manuscripts]..
