Navy cloth 4to, 795pp. With 711 illustrations and 20 plates, including real photographic x-ray images of the head and chest. In good condition only, lacking the spine cloth. Binding remains firm, with boards still attached. Scarce early edition, published in the same year as the very rare first edition. Previous owner's signature on the front flyleaf; else clean and unmarked. Internally beautiful.
