Very Good. 8vo, half cloth, very good, pages toning, has namestamp of the author on flyleaf -- possibly his own copy, or more likely one of a number of personally owned copies he distributed to friends and colleagues. Handwritten note on back of rear flyleaf about an article that appeared in a 1909 issue of Astrophysical Journal. 206 pp. Gockel was a pioneer in atmospheric electricity and in particular made a substantial contribution to the study of ionizing radiation which led to the discovery of its cosmic origin.
