Leather-bound copy with six gilt double bands, star decoration and titling to spine; gilt-debossed rule to boards with debossed ship to front board. Moderate to heavy foxing to first few pages and light scattered foxing to margins throughout; text is unmarked. Text block is foxed; soiling to fore edge at volume two; top edge gilt and is moderately tarnished. Decorative endpages are tanned at top edge. Boards have scuffing to boards with chipping and rubbing to leather at edges, corners and ends of spine; heavy rubbing to spine of volume one and light to moderate rubbing and chipping to spine of volume two. Binding is tight, boards slightly bowed.
