Sterling condition hardcover copy, with unbruised tips, tight binding, and clean internals, showing only very slight shelf- and edge-wear; not ex-library, with neither underlining nor highlighting anywhere. Rebound quite stunningly in a a bright red cloth, with sharp and distinct gilt lettering to cover and spine, gilt illustrations galore, and gilt ruling, and with new endpapers and gilt edging all around. iv + 19 (1) pp., and 32 plates mounted beautifully and with tissue guards in protection. in both portrait and landscape format, by artists such as Brouwer, David, van Dyck, Hals, Holbein, Rembrandt and others. Each of the plates is captioned and titled, and with notes as to artist, engraver, etcher, etc.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
