Sobre este artículo
Augsburg Fortress Pub, February 2000. Paper Back. New. Bethge's monumental biography, out of print for years, is now back in print, with significant improvements. The complete text of the original German edition of 1967 is included; all the material omitted from the 1970 English translation has been restored, including two appendices (one of them a fascinating bibliography of books read by Bonhoeffer while he was imprisoned, from 1943-5). The endnotes have been revised to account for the recently completed seventeen-volume Works of Bonhoeffer (most of which are now available in English translation -- call us for details). Robert Coles' appreciation is fitting for this massive, yet sensitive work: ''Here is a twentieth-century Christian martyr's life faithfully and passionately rendered -- a gift to all of us who so very much admire Bonhoeffer and dearly love him for all he embodied in his generous and grave person.''

Sobre Eighth Day Books
Eighth Day Books offers an eccentric community of books based on this organizing principle: if a book - be it literary, scientific, historical, or theological - sheds light on ultimate questions in an excellent way, then it's a worthy candidate for inclusion in our catalog.
