Price-clipped pictorial jacket has toning, closed tears and tape reinforcement on the extremities. Laid in is a 14"x11" Black and white photo still of Dustin Hoffman playing piano, and Shel Silverstein on drums with two girls behind them. This is a still from the film "Who is Harry Kellerman and Why Is He Saying Things About Me?". This book is described as a "A modern ballet where lovers are ground to hamburger, wives are turned into chains, TV sets eat people, flowers grow from children's heads, God is uncovered and recovered, and men are hung by the instrument of their desires. Sinopsis
Shel Silverstein is best known for his children's poetry, but "Uncle Shelby" was also a witty, dirty old man. He began by drawing adult cartoons for the military during his stint as a soldier in the 1950s, and contributed to Playboy from 1957 to the mid-1970's. This irreverant humor is reflected in his poems and books geared toward mature audiences. Different Dances was published in 1979, and first editions in complete dust jackets are scarce. This book is a rather large folio edition - over 12 - 15" tall.

Our Internet business began in 2001. Upon visiting the store, we can show and sell individual online titles upon request. Store hours are 10:00-5:30 (Tues.-Sat.) and 11:00-4:00 (Sun.). The business is run by Richard Chalfin.
