Reverend Dimmick was a well-known theologian and a literate man, and in this address before the Musical Convention he pulls out all of his stops, calling forth numerous references to music in the Bible. E.g. ""Then sung Deborah and Barak -- saying praise ye the Lord"" Judges V, 1 (pp. 19-20) and ""At the close of the Last Supper, we are told, 'When they had sung an Hymn, they went out.' Mat. XXVI, 30."" This booklet concludes with brief report on the Convention, with listing of members. Paper booklet, bound with stitching, front wrap nearly detached, wrap has minor chips, small sticker hand-labeled ""Brief Case No. 1"". Good. . Catalogs: Religious.
