"In the present paper, after explaining the methods used in compiling and presenting the information, the zoogeography and general ecology of the avifauna of the area is discussed. A systematic list of the birds recorded in the Kruger National Park follows, with notes on the distribution of each species within the area (accompanied by distribution maps), and on their breeding and seasonal status where known. Two appendices list the birds reported for the area but not yet suitably verified, and the birds newly recorded from the area since the additions to the check-list in 1967." .
