Dust jacket has a little edge wear with tape repairs (on spine corners) and still looks very nice. This statement on back cover from 1991 is so true today: Instead of a trans formative nation with an identity all its own, America increasingly see itself as preservative of old identities. Instead of a nation composed of individuals making their own choices, America increasingly sees itself as composed of groups more or less indelible in their own character. Theirs a lot more but it is true today m ore than ever. .
