Sobre este artículo
New York, NY : Dafina Books/Kensington Publishing Corp. , 2002 Dafina Books/Kensington Publishing Corp., New York. 2002. Hardcover. Stated First Kensington Printing 2002/First Printing by Line Number. New Introduction by the Author. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Fine. DJ: Fine; NOT Price Clipped ($24.00). Goldenrod boards with maroon overlay on the spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine. 261 pp 8vo. This is a success story in the mold of Walter Williams. Donald Thornton was a ditchdigger in NJ who was committed to making a success of his daughter's lives. He and his wife did all they could to make the six girls hit the books and stay out of trouble. In addition to academics he turned the girls into a rhythm and blues band that played at the Apollo Theater. Of the girls, two became doctors, one a dentist, one a lawyer, one a nurse, and one a court stenographer. Truly a success story based on a father with a dream and a roadmap to a better life for his girls. A clean very presentable coyp in a Brodart mylar jacket.
