Bath: Richard Cruttwell, 1814. Two sermons bound as one - 'Divine Providence', 23pp, [1]; 'Divine Favour', 23pp, [1]. Half vellum and paper over boards, smooth back, title in gilt to spine, with diaper pattern gilt decoration to head and tail of spine, gilt crown to middle of covers, a.e.g., blue endpapers. Slightly rubbed, internally lightly browned but generally clean. The first title has 'Warner's Sermon on the Peace 1814' to head of title. The second title was a sermon published to aid a fund for the benefit of the families of the British soldiers who died at Waterloo, the total of the collection is noted to the foot of the title (98 pounds and four shillings). From the library of Earl Eldon, with his bookplate to reverse of front endpaper. Presentation copy from the author, 'To the Right Honourable Lord Eldon with the profoundest respects of the author'. Both pamphlets are uncommon, the first named at Ox only on COPAC, the second not found on COPAC. Presentation Copy from the Author. First Edition. Half Vellum and Boards. Good+. 8vo.

It is open between 10am and 4pm weekdays, any other times by appointment.
