The fourteen stories in DOCTOR MARTINO include the previously unpublished "Black Music" and "Leg," as well as "Turn About," the basis for the Howard Hawks film TODAY WE LIVE and one of relatively few Faulkner stories not set in the author's Yoknapatawpha County, Mississippi. 7.5'' x 4.75''. Original gilt-lettered black and brown cloth. Black topstain, other edges uncut. 371, [1] pages. Edition of 360 copies printed on W. and A. All Rag Paper, of which 350 are for sale. This copy no. 135, signed by Faulkner at colophon. Light edgewear. Two small chips to slightly faded spine.
