Attractively bound in period 3/4 light brown calf over marbled boards, spine with contrasting red and black morocco labels, raised bands, and elaborate gilt geometric tooling within gilt-ruled compartments, marbled edges and endpapers (very slight wear; ink name). Spine labels at top reads: "Hawthorne's Works", label at foot has book title.
