Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Overall a good condition item. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Clipped jacket. Panels have light edge wear with tears and creasing.

Hardback, spine and boards covered in colour decorated cloth, with clipped dw, 18 b/w illustrations, 251pp. The Greeks and Romans wrote accounts of dolphins associating with men for their own amusement and pleasure. These accounts were cosidered legendary until in 1955 a dolphin in a NZ harbour played with swimmers and took children for rides on its back. This book reexamines the dolphin and its association with man. DW has been repaired.
