London: John Lane The Bodley Head LTD, 1926. Hardcover . Used - near very good. 8vo; 408pp. Off-white cloth with gilt and light brown lettering and decoration. Moderate spine lean. 'Bullocks' of Los Angeles store sticker, rear pastedown. A very attractive bookplate with a gazelle and the cursive letters, 'R' and 'B' worked into the design, front pastedown. Light foxing to prelims, some light age-toning to textblock, cloth covers with minor soiling, and spine a bit darkened and gilt a with some fade. Lots of minor problems, however, overall a sold copy with the highly appropriate, and numerous B&W illustrations of Austen, and now protected in a removable mylar cover.
