This story is testament to Zane Grey's love of animals, and his insight into just how much a person can get to know an animal and how the animal can get to know man. Zane Grey first met Don on his first trip to the Grand Canyon with Buffalo Jones to rope lions in the Grand Canyon.If it had not been for this trip I doubt we would have the Zane Grey we know and love today, nor such a fantastic body of work to read and enjoy.
