ASSOCIATION COPY INSCRIBED BY HOFFMAN on title page, "To/ the Sullivans/ &/ for/ our fellowship --/ William Hoffman/ 5/5/99." Walter Sullivan (1924-2006) was an author, critic, longtime Vanderbilt University professor, authority on Southern literature and one of the founding members of The Fellowship of Southern Writers to which Hoffman was elected for membership in 1997. His wife, Jane Harrison Sullivan (1923-2022), taught English literature at Aquinas College. Fine in glossy, pictorial paperwraps with just a touch of minor wear.
