Maurice Maeterlinck (1862-1949), also known as Count Maeterlinck, was a Belgian poet, playwright, and essayist. He was Flemish but usually wrote in French, and was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1911. Collated, complete. Bound in full-calf by Bumpus Ltd. Externally, smart. Minimal edgewear, with some fading to the margins of the boards. A bit of rubbing to the spine, particularly the raised bands of the joints. A few marks to boards. Offsetting to margins of free endpapers from leather binding on paste downs. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright throughout with the odd spot, particularly to the first and last few pages. Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
