Frankfurt am Main: Johannes Schrodt, n.y.. Hardcover. Small 4to. Green cloth spine and glossy pictorial paper over boards. 2pp. 12 full-page heavy stock chromolithographs, decorative endpapers. Very good. Quite minor binding edgewear, else tight and internally near fine. Handsome copy, entirelty in German, of this young adult life of the 16th century Reformation leader by this popular German author of the day (1940-1929). The color plates are magnificent. Undated, but clearly turn of the century (as the front flyleaf ownership signature dated Christmas 1905 confirms). Quite charming.
