Cover Art; This book is in Near Fine condition and has a Very Good- dust jacket. The book and its contents are in mostly clean, bright condition. The text pages are clean and bright. There are two semi-closed tears to the edges of the dust jacket along with some beginning rubbing and edge wear to the corners and spine ends. The reverse of the dust jacket has one thin strip of color bleeding which does not affect the dust jacket or the book. "It is early 1942. You are in San Francisco, and you need a private eye. Sam Space is rumored to be in Istambul. The Continental Op hasa been drafted and is a sergeant in the Aleutians." "Richard Gary Brautigan (January 30, 1935 – ca. September 16, 1984) was an American novelist, poet, and short story writer. His work often employs black comedy, parody, and satire. He is best known for his novels Trout Fishing in America (1967) and In Watermelon Sugar (1968). Brautigan began his career as a poet, with his first collection being published in 1957. He made his debut as a novelist with A Confederate General from Big Sur (1964) , about a delusional man who believes himself to be the descendant of a Confederate general. Brautigan would go on to publish numerous prose and poetry collections until 1982, after which he committed suicide in 1984." (from Wikipedia) .
