Sobre este artículo
Boston: Phillips, Sampson and Company, 1856. First Edition. Blindstamped Cloth; Quarter Morocco Slipcase. Very Good/Fine. 8vo. vi, 7-329, [6], v, 370 pp. Stowe's follow-up to "Uncle Tom's Cabin", also dealing with slavery, with a more militant angle on the topic than its better known predecessor. Both volumes rebacked, with original spines preserved and quite inconspicuous that anything was done at all. Volume II has neat tear along hinge of both front and rear endpapers. A few minor, light and occasional fox marks; overall clean and tight. Dust jackets are early if not original, and they match the cloth on the slipcase. Slipcase remains solid as box. The leather has rubbing, and there is wear on the corners of the cloth. Notwithstanding these issues, the slipcase together with the dust jackets and the attractive condition of the books make for a handsome package.
