Sobre este artículo

NY: Random House, 1943. 278pp. Full light brown cloth; very good. Pages lightly age-toned, else contents very good. Half-tone frontis (book's only illus). Printed/pictorial dj; edge worn, rear panel dusted, price clipped, else good. WWII newspaper reporter, Quentin Reynolds, was invited to come along and observe the Dieppe Raid, August 1942. 6,100 Allied soldiers (90% Canadian) landed on Dieppe beach; just over 50% were killed, wounded, or captured by the German defenders in 9 hours of fighting. A debate arose whether the Dieppe invasion was an outright failure or a qualified success for future operations: Reynolds's work sides with the latter interpretation. . Third Printing. Cloth. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
