Beloved Hawaiian poet's 13th book of verse, illustrated with decorative endpapers & drawings throughout the text by the author, & SIGNED by aUTHOR (with "Aloha!)" on his picture in front matter). In 142 pp, this is a FIRST EDITION, First Printing from 1939 in Fine condition: slim hardcover has dark blue cloth-covered boards with elaborate gilt design to front & lettering to spine. It is extremely clean, binding strong & straight, both hinges secure. Xmas gift inscription on recto of ffep; NO other writing/highlighting/underlining; not ex-lib. Flaws: moderate page tanning, heavier around edges. Modest rubbing to extremities, heaviest at all corners & both ends of spine. Only flaw is very mild rubbing to extremities. NO DJ (missing).
