Hardcover with dustjacket, first printing as indicated by the publisher's "2" in the number line on copyright page (this publisher did not use a "1" at this time) and "First Edition" stated, the book is inscribed "New Hope 1971" and signed "James A. Michener" by the author, the book is in great shape overall, the gray-colored top edge of the pages has some faded areas but there are no other significant flaws, the jacket has a short edge-tear with associated short creases at the bottom of the front panel, moderate edge-wear at the spine-ends, corners and edges of the flaps and a small amount of very slight tanning on the white-colored flaps, the jacket is clean, the original price (10.00) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included ; ; 751 pages; Signed by Author .
