With contributions from other authorities.The book is finely bound in half leather, brown morocco spine and corners with five raised gilt ruled bands on the spine, gilt title lettering, top edge gilt.Marbled papered boards, and marbled endpapers. xvi, 426 pages. plus 2 pages of adverts.Illustrated with numerous full page engraved plates plus smaller text illustrations,of engravings and drawings. Illustrated by G. D. Giles and John Sturgess. 5.5 X 7.5 inches. The leather shoulder on the front board is stamped "Vancroft Farm" in gilt. There are some very few scuffs and rubbing to the leather corners. Very good, and very clean throughout, with a very sound and solid binding.. Fourth Edition. Half-Leather. Very Good/No Jacket.
