Other than the closing pages, there appears to be no moisture damage. Pages and plates will have occasional smudges, light pen or pencil marks, etc but appear to be clean of any significant marginalia or defacement. Pages have retained their brightness. Aside from first few pages, textblock is firm and hinges feel strong. A nice copy and a fascinating artifact of horse-drawn transportation, equipment and technique written by a member of the American aristocracy.
