Boston: Little, Brown, and Company, 1936. This is a Very good (Plus) copy of the First Edition [with "Announced May, 1936" and "Published July, 1936" on CR page]. Blue cloth bindingwith gilt titling on the spine; front cover is deeply stamped with title and author, along with a gilt drum within gilt ruling. Clean text; xiii, 592 pages;blue topstain and decorative map as endpapoers. Sunfade along the margins has turned about 1/4" from blue to green. The dustjacket is the second state, with the wraparounds painting. It is unclipped; with rubbing and chipping at the margins. In an archival plastic protector.. First Edition. Half-Leather. Very Good (Plus)/Very Good (Minus). 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
Sinopsis
Walter D. Edmonds was a bestselling American author, a National Book Award winner, and recipient of the Newbery Medal. He published over 30 books in his lifetime, and was most popular for his historical novels. He died in 1998.
