Sobre este artículo

London: Country Life, 1980. Paperback. Very Good. 9" by 6". None. The proof copy of the first novel in William Horwood's 'Duncton Wood' series about anthropomorphic moles, which has been compared to 'Wind in the Willows' and the iconic 'Lord of the Rings' due to its rich world building. The proof copy. In the publisher's original paper covers. From the library of Desmond Morris. Desmond Morris was a zoologist best known for his 1967 sociobiological work "The Naked Ape". Alongside achieving great acclaim as a zoologist, Morris was also known for being an ethnologist and surrealist painter, and for popular television programmes, including "Zoo Time". This fantasy novel is the first volume in William Horwood's 'Duncton Wood' fantasy about anthropomorphic moles. The series follows the moles, who live in Moledom, and focuses on the 'Stone', a religion based around stone circles, and has been compared to 'The Wind in the Willows' and 'Lord of the Rings' due to Horwood's use of fantasy languages and unique world building. In the publisher's original paper covers. Externally very smart with only tidemarks to the spine and slight handling marks. Bookplate belonging to 'Desmond Morris' to the verso of the front cover. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages. Very Good
