First US edition. 8vo. xvii, 409, (3) pp. Publisher's dark blue cloth, gilt lettered black spine panel, inscribed by Nicolson on the front free endpaper "With best wishes from...". Frontispiece portrait and 10 photographic plates, four more than in the first British edition. Spine slightly dulled and rubbed, else very good. Morrow (1873-1931) was an American businessman, diplomat and politician.
